I don't drink every day, but several times a week — and when I do, it's usually pretty heavy. I've done therapy but had relapses. On the outside, I hide how much I drink as best I can.

I've noticed changes that I really hate: alcohol is slowly replacing all the other good things in life.

I don't have any outside support right now. I told my kids about my problem. They both decided on their own not to drink. They've got my back.

Having people around me who are honest and aware about alcohol issues really matters for how I deal with it. I just got your book Bye, Bye, Booze and I'm starting it this weekend.

By the way — maybe you guys should set up a forum section where people can introduce themselves!
